Job description

Role Overview

Come work for the world's leading private employer of Registered Dietitians!

Sodexo is seeking an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian for a part time (10 hours/week) position at UNC Health Caldwell Hospital, a 105-bed hospital in Lenoir, North Carolina. This position will work remotely every weekend and one day during the week. Additional hours as needed to cover Clinical Nutrition Manager time off. UNC Health Caldwell is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western NC ~ 1 hr from Asheville and 1.5 hrs from Charlotte, NC. This is a great opportunity for a new or experienced Dietitian!

What You'll Do
  • provide nutrition care for a variety of inpatient units, primarily med/surg;
  • work remotely every weekend using client computer to complete nutrition consults;
  • cover clinical nutrition manager PTO as needed in addition to scheduled hours;
  • educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
