• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through virtual sessions, utilizing tools such as diagnostic interviews and risk assessments to evaluate client needs.
• Collaborate with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that consider their individual circumstances, personal goals, and cultural backgrounds.
• Implement a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), applicable to individual, couple, family, and group therapy contexts.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and establish a coordination of care with other healthcare professionals involved in the patients' treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, such as progress notes and treatment plans, in alignment with regulatory guidelines and clinic policies.
• Empower patients and their families through psychoeducation, equipping them with valuable skills and insights to manage mental health conditions effectively.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes, utilizing evidence-based measures to evaluate effectiveness and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Stay aligned with best practices in mental health by actively engaging in ongoing learning and professional development.
• Uphold ethical standards and legal requirements regarding patient confidentiality and documentation processes.

This position focuses primarily on individuals struggling with substance use disorders and accompanying mental health issues. As a social worker in a detox center, you will encounter a diverse patient population, each with unique backgrounds and experiences. Your ability to build rapport and trust will be essential in effectively addressing their needs.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required for this position.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Texas is mandatory.
• Proficient in both independent and collaborative work settings, especially within a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage with clients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Experience providing clinical services in a remote or telehealth capacity is highly regarded.
• Previous experience working in addiction treatment or with clients facing mental health crises is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth software enhances effectiveness in documentation and patient interactions.
