Location: Boulder, CO.  Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office. Relocation assistance is not available. Only local candidates will be considered.

As a Software Engineer II at Spectra Logic, you’ll write code in Go to solve real-world problems and build reliable, elegant software components that impact our clients globally.
 
This role is the perfect sweet spot for an engineer who has mastered the basics and is eager to execute tasks with increasing independence. You'll work with standard, cutting-edge architectural patterns while enjoying the autonomy to own your features from concept to delivery
What You’ll Do (Your Impact)
  • Build & Deliver: Take ownership of standard features within a defined scope, turning functional requirements into high-quality, reliable code.
  • Problem Solve: Dive into specific application modules to debug, resolve issues, and continuously optimize performance.
  • Mentor & Collaborate: Share your knowledge! You'll conduct meaningful peer code reviews for junior-level contributors, helping foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Innovate Processes: Play an active role in shaping our automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines to keep our deployment engine fast and flawless.
  • Shape the Roadmap: Participate in sprint planning by providing realistic estimates for small tasks and individual work items—your voice matters in how we build.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion clean code by identifying and suggesting improvements to existing code structure and readability.

Compensation:100 - 130K/ year. While this salary range is a good faith and reasonable estimate, a candidate’s actual salary will be competitive based on a variety of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
