Job description

Position Description: Responsible for answering phones and directing phone calls to the appropriate areas. Assists with matters pertaining to entering enrollments, maintaining book lists/inventory, scheduling classes and room assignments, maintaining and updating files for programs, and producing enrollment, progress and graduation reports as needed and performs other clerical duties as assigned. Position Responsibilities: 5.00% - Performs other duties as needed or assigned. 35.00% - Maintains front desk area, answers phones, directs students and calls appropriately, and/or takes messages when necessary. 15.00% - Assists in daily operations of the Grandview Plaza office providing clerical support as required. 10.00% - Processes enrollments for all programs to include coding sections on enrollment records and entering grade rosters, certification roster data in Banner and prepares course completion certificates and other student data as required. 10.00% - Assists faculty with virtual classes as a facilitator: Monitoring student attendance; Monitoring that students have their cameras on; Monitoring student engagement and participation; Monitoring student needs relative to pace of instruction; Monitoring the raising of hands and chat areas to ensure questions are immediately addressed. 5.00% - Maintains and updates program course listing and provides communication to all appropriate parties in regards to changes. 5.00% - Coordinates and tracks all vehicle reservations and assignments as well as fuel usage and maintenance on Barton owned vehicles. 5.00% - Maintains files and records relevant to the programs at Grandview Plaza. 5.00% - Assists in the marketing of the programs offered at Grandview Plaza. 5.00% - Provides and/or coordinates support for program faculty. Expectations: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Participate in professional development activities to enhance job performance. Perform all duties, responsibilities and assignments in a professional manner and in the best interest of the College. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience - Six months to two years of similar or related experience. Education - A high school education or GED. Interpersonal Skills - Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Other - People skills; communication skills; excellent computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet; knowledge of general office procedures; records maintenance skills; excellent proofreading and record keeping skills; self-starter; and team oriented. Occasional travel between various campus sites may be requested. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit
comfortably to do the work. However,
there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving
an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the
work.
