This position will be full-time at a Haskell project site in Jackson, Mississippi. This position could involve temporary relocation for approximately two (2) years. If temporarily relocating, this position is eligible for per diem.

Scope of Position
This role in the Virtual Construction (BIM/VDC) group leverages the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to support project teams to pursue, design, manage, and execute projects. The Virtual Construction Specialist utilizes Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) workflows for project coordination, schedule simulations, animation, quantity surveying, and other innovative technical skillsets.
Job Responsibilities
  • Coordination
    • Develop and maintain integrated project coordination models using Navisworks software, and create clash detection reports based on analysis of multiple design disciplines and trade subcontractor 3D models.
  • Collaboration
    • Participate in virtual collaboration meetings with project team, while leveraging the coordination model as a decision - making tool to solve complex coordination issues.
  • Estimating
    • Extract quantity data from building information models (BIM) for estimating teams, while cross - referencing contract drawings and specifications for model accuracy, and leveraging with field teams for progress tracking.
  • 3D Modeling
    • Construction detailing, including creation of custom parametric content, modeling for visualization and design team needs, and development of integrated coordination drawings.
  • Digital Layout
    • Provide model - based layout coordinates and as - built reports for field surveying teams onsite for layout of self - perform concrete, steel, utilities, and other systems.
  • Reality Capture
    • Process, register, and publish laser scan point cloud data for coordination, deviation analysis, and scan - to - BIM execution.
  • Business Development & Scheduling
    • Create 4D/5D renderings and animations for proposals, as well as detailed schedule visualizations with scheduling and construction teams.
  • Innovation
    • Support innovation through research and testing of new technologies.
  • Field Support
    • Support field execution of drone and reality capture services as needed.
  • Travel as required.
  • Other duties which may be assigned as needed.

Education & Years of Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology
  • Minimum of 3 Years of experience in BIM/VDC Technologies in AEC industry

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with BIM/CAD applications is required.
  • Programming/coding skills are preferred.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines, establish and meet schedules, and maintain focus in order to work in a fast - paced environment on multiple projects.
  • Understanding of AEC industry and project workflows (schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases).
  • Understanding of different needs and responsibilities of the delivery team (architects, engineers, estimators, project managers, and field staff).
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation abilities.

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
