Job description

Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Program Manager with a Top-Secret security clearance to support KTS and our government customer in Washington, DC. Must be on-site Monday-Friday in DOS offices in Washington DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Koniag Technology Solutions is seeking an experienced, motivated, customer-oriented Program Manager to join our team. The Program Manager will lead a team of engineers focusing on cloud and data center engineering projects. The role calls for strong leadership, technical acumen, and excellent communication skills.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform project lifecycle management activities in support of ESOC Project Management Services in accordance with DOS Project Management (PM) policies and procedures. Perform project planning, execution, and closure phases in accordance with DOS requirements. Optimize integration between separate project plans and internal service delivery models within each project.
  • Should have experience working with transition from On-Prem to Cloud (cloud provider TBD)
  • Needs to have a strong technical background to advise clients on the transition
  • Manage projects to install, decommission, or transition physical and virtual Systems at all ESOC data centers (ESOC EAST, ESOC WEST, HST, and BIMC) using approved internal processes. Oversee projects supporting technologies such as Microsoft Azure, VMware, Dell VxRail, vSAN, vROps, TripWire, Splunk, PowerBI, Windows Active Directory
  • Organize, staff, and schedule project work to meet delivery of contract deliverables and contingency planning.
  • Develop and maintain project management plans detailing, at a minimum, a project schedule and milestones, project resource requirements, project organization structure, project organization chart, key personnel, escalation procedures, staff management, subcontractor management, financial management, stakeholder communication management, risk and issue management, measurement and analysis plan and security management
  • Provide a Project Level Weekly Status Report (PLWSR), which shall include a qualitative and quantitative description of the work accomplished during the week, including, at minimum, a list of activities, status of each assignment, problems encountered, action taken, planned activities for the upcoming week, activity owner and any problems anticipated during the upcoming period.
  • Provide a status report, typically monthly or as negotiated, to include, at minimum: upcoming milestones, project risks and mitigations, and outstanding issues with actions taken to resolve
  • Initiate and facilitate communications among government and contract leadership, and team members, including meetings, briefing decks, reports, MS Teams, and SharePoint collaboration sites
  • Oversee Quality Control Plan (QCP), monitor service levels, analyze gaps, and oversee corrective actions and service improvements
  • Conduct interviews and provide input for staffing decisions to build a talented workforce
  • Cultivate a culture of recognition and appreciation to positively impact team morale and service delivery
  • Execute and track administrative actions to closure including data calls, and staff management activities

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in leading projects in Cloud Technologies and Data Center Infrastructure
  • Experience managing subcontractors
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize activities and co-ordinate input from internal and external partners
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • US Citizen with active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • PMP Certification
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in IT
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Certifications in relevant technologies

Clearance Requirement:

  • Top Secret clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related-field or equivalent experience.
