As Marketing Programs Manager, you will play a pivotal role on the Upwave Marketing team. The ideal candidate is a proactive marketer who enjoys bringing ideas to life through exceptional execution. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Upwave's marketing programs-from events and webinars to campaigns and industry engagement-while ensuring marketing initiatives are delivered consistently and effectively. You'll partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Executive Leadership, and external partners to maximize the impact of every marketing initiative.

What you will do: 

Marketing Programs & Events

  • Own the planning and execution of Upwave's virtual and in-person events, webinars, conferences, sponsorships, executive speaking engagements, and other marketing programs.
  • Manage all in-person event logistics-for both Upwave-owned and ad tech industry events-including vendors, budgets, third-party participation, timelines, promotional materials, shipping, registrations, travel, and on-site coordination.
  • Manage all virtual event logistics including webinar platforms, speaker coordination, registrations, promotions, rehearsals, and live event execution.
  • Manage research, earned submissions, and execution for all executive speaking engagements. 
  • Manage company-wide calendar, attendance, and feedback loop of industry events.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize the impact and ROI of marketing programs through thoughtful planning, promotion, and follow-up.

Program Execution

  • Support the execution of integrated marketing programs across email, social media, website, and other marketing channels, in partnership with Sales.
  • Ensure program assets, timelines, approvals, and stakeholders remain aligned so initiatives launch successfully and on schedule.
  • Support product launches and major company initiatives by coordinating cross-functional marketing activities.

Marketing Operations

  • Own marketing calendars, project timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and day-to-day program management across the department.
  • Maintain and improve marketing processes, documentation, and operational workflows to increase the efficiency and scalability of the marketing team.
  • Help administer marketing technologies and operational tools that support campaign execution, reporting, and team efficiency.

Industry Engagement

  • Serve as Marketing's primary point of contact for trade organizations (CIMM, VAB, etc.), industry memberships (Ad Council), and related partnerships.
  • Coordinate Upwave's participation in industry initiatives and committees, ensuring opportunities are organized, executed, and leveraged effectively across the business.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Executive Leadership to ensure marketing initiatives are executed successfully.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives while balancing multiple projects, competing priorities, and evolving business needs.

About you:

  • You have 5-7 years of experience in marketing, marketing operations, and/or event marketing.
  • You have successfully planned and executed both virtual webinars and in-person events.
  • You are comfortable managing webinar platforms such as Zoom Webinar or similar technologies.
  • You have experience managing external vendors, agencies, or event partners.
  • You are an exceptional project manager who enjoys organizing complex initiatives with many moving pieces.
  • You take ownership, follow through on details, and can independently drive projects from planning through execution.
  • You communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers, partners, executives, and external vendors.
  • You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • You thrive in a collaborative startup environment where priorities evolve quickly and no two days are exactly alike.

Bonus points:

  • Experience working in advertising, media, marketing technology, or SaaS.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar marketing and project management tools.
  • Experience supporting executive speaking engagements or industry conferences

Additional Information:

The annual base salary range for this role is $105,000 - $110,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for the new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
