POSITION SUMMARYThe Medical Surgical RN is responsible and accountable for directing, planning, and organizing the nursing activities on the Med Surg unit with a focus on patient, physician and staff needs. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of patients under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the mission and objectives of the Hospital.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSGraduate of an accredited school of nursingCurrent Louisiana Nursing License in good standingPrevious clinical nursing experience is desired.BLS required within 30 days upon hire.All other certifications due within 90 days of hire date, i.e., ACLS, PALSPlease indicate whether you have ever been convicted of a crime, including any misdemeanors and/or DUI/DWI. (Criminal conviction(s) will not automatically exclude you from consideration for employment).
