Responsibilities

The Department of Digital Art and Design anticipates openings for partโ€‘time (adjunct) instructors in Spring 2024 at its Old Westbury and Manhattan locations to teach undergraduate courses within the Digital Arts BFA program. Subjects we are seeking teaching for at this time include Digital Compositing and Visual Effects and Portfolio Development for Digital Artists, but may also include subjects related to 3D Modeling and Animation, 2D animation, and emerging technologies like Augmented and Virtual Reality.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Masterโ€™s degree or a Bachelorโ€™s degree and 5 years of professional experience in the fields of traditional and digital art and design.

Academic experience is a plus.

Candidates should have technical knowledge and proficiency in Adobe CC, including Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Maya, Cinema 4D, Nuke and other commonly used software.

Knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies (AR, VR) is a plus.

Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.

Minimum Salary: USD $95.00/Hr.

Maximum Salary: USD $104.00/Hr.
