Job description

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative – Carrier Refrigeration Parts & Service
Company: Interstate Power Systems
Territory: Waterloo and Cedar Rapids Iowa

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a driven, self-motivated Outside Sales Representative to grow Carrier Transicold refrigeration sales as well as parts and service labor sales throughout the assigned Iowa territory. This role combines aggressive new-business development with technical account management, focusing on truck/trailer refrigeration units, APUs, and related heavy-duty equipment parts and service labor sales. If you have a proven outside sales track record—ideally in transport refrigeration, trucking, or heavy equipment—this is your opportunity to join a top-tier organization known for Pride in Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and sell Carrier Transicold refrigeration equipment, parts, service labor, and related services for truck/trailer units and auxiliary power units (APUs), and heavy duty equipment.
  • Increase parts and service revenue with existing accounts while aggressively prospecting and securing new customers in the trucking, transportation, private fleet, and owner-operator segments.
  • Expand market share by identifying and developing new customer relationships and leveraging industry networks.
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and problem-solving expertise for transport refrigeration systems.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between customers and Interstate Power Systems to ensure exceptional service delivery and maximum customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute territory business plans that capitalize on local market opportunities.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Background in transport refrigeration (Carrier Transicold or competitor), trucking/heavy-duty equipment, distribution, industrial sales, or related field strongly preferred
  • Refrigeration systems knowledge a significant plus
  • Experience selling both parts and service/labor is ideal
