Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

The Virtual Patient Safety Assistant (VPSA) will contribute to keeping patients safe by virtually observing the patient, recognizing unsafe behaviors and situations, verbally re-directing the patient, and notifying appropriate staff to respond to the bedside. The VPSA will maintain a commitment to the philosophy, mission, and values of Henry Ford Health. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 
  • Previous computer operation and/or monitoring system/camera control experience preferred. 
  • Previous experience with and familiarity of electronic medical records preferred (e.g., documenting within the electronic medical record).
