As a Medical Records Clerk, you’ll manage both active and archived patient charts with precision while serving as a key point of communication for the department.  Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help keep our operations running smoothly and ensure healthcare providers have the information they need to deliver exceptional care.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly audits of patient charts to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Assemble, review, and audit discharged patient records, accurately abstracting required medical information and data
  • Collect, compile, and enter patient data into electronic systems, generating reports to support departmental and operational needs
  • Review patient charts for accurate ICD coding, verify diagnoses, and enter complete diagnostic information into the billing system to support timely and accurate claims processing
