The Federal Savings Bank, a rapidly growing, veteran-owned bank, is seeking a motivated, highly organized sales professional to join our Chicago, IL office as a Consumer Loan Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career within a dynamic Consumer Lending team that provides hands-on training and dedicated resources to help you succeed while supporting your team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary source of contact for clients throughout the granting process of loan, right from the initial stage of inquiry to its final close out.
  • Execute front end processing procedures that include gathering the relevant financial and legal documents and ordering the related reports necessary for further processing.
  • Prepare and submit the loan files for final approval to the underwriting department.
  • Conduct a quality control audit of the previous database before closing it.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper completion of all the documentation for the borrower and loan provider.
  • Cultivate and maintain department relations with different associations, community partners, and vendors.
  • Provide support to all assigned areas of the department where service or assistance is needed; acts as a backup for loan department positions and functions.
  • Answers the telephone; responds to routine loan officer or customer inquiries related to account balances, loan balances and payoff requests.
  • Assists with preparation of loan files and documentation requests for internal and external audits/exams.
  • Sort and distribute daily and monthly loan reports to applicable branches or departments.
  • Follow policies and procedures & support the Bank's goals and values.
Requirements
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales, a call-center environment, retail, hospitality, or the food and beverage industry.
  • Must have the ability to manage time effectively due to the very high volume of in-bound leads.
  • Must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to succeed.
  • Experience using a dialer strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively interact with individuals within all departments of the bank.
  • Comfortable using a computer while communicating with customers by phone.
  • Favorable credit and background check.
