MISSION 
CyberUp is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the cybersecurity skills gap by providing accessible training, education, and career pathways to individuals interested in pursuing careers in cybersecurity. Our mission is to elevate the cybersecurity workforce by igniting curiosity, developing talent, and transforming career pathways. 

DESIRED QUALITIES
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Community Engagement Manager leads CyberUp's PowerUp program and community cyber education initiatives. Based out of the Greater St. Louis area, this role is responsible for growing community partnerships, expanding cyber safety education, developing engaging learning experiences, recruiting and supporting volunteers, and identifying new opportunities to expand CyberUp's impact across all generations. Serving as CyberUp's primary community ambassador, this position builds lasting relationships with schools, libraries, businesses, volunteers, and community organizations while helping shape the future of CyberUp's community education programs.

The Manager must have a style that welcomes input, embraces teamwork, and demonstrates the following skills:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Leadership:
   Lead the overall planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the PowerUp program. 
   Manage annual program goals, schedules, and delivery. 
   Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for schools, volunteers, and students. 
   Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve curriculum, classroom resources, and educational experiences to meet the evolving needs of students, educators, and community audiences.
   Identify emerging community needs and develop innovative cyber education programs and partnerships that expand CyberUp's impact across new audiences and communities.

School & Community Partnerships:
   Develop and manage strategic partnerships with schools, libraries, nonprofits, municipalities, employers, and community organizations to expand the reach and sustainability of the PowerUp program. 
   Represent CyberUp as the primary community liaison by building trusted relationships and serving as a visible advocate for the organization's mission and programs.
   Identify new opportunities for collaboration, sponsorship, and community engagement that advance CyberUp's mission.
   Coordinate program delivery logistics and classroom scheduling with partner organizations.

Volunteer Management:
   Recruit, onboard, train, support, recognize, and retain a diverse network of volunteer instructors and teaching assistants.
   Coordinate volunteer schedules and classroom assignments. 
   Provide coaching, recognition, and ongoing communication to support volunteer success and engagement.
   Track volunteer engagement and retention to identify opportunities to strengthen the volunteer experience.

Program Strategy & Impact:
   Establish and monitor annual program goals, performance metrics, and growth strategies that align with CyberUp's strategic plan. 
   Track participation, demographics, volunteer hours, and program outcomes. 
   Collect participant feedback, monitor community trends, and evaluate program outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and future program development. 
   Support grant reporting and outcome measurement. 
   Work with Marketing to share impact stories and celebrate volunteers. 
   Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and Director of Development to align PowerUp with strategic priorities and funding opportunities.

REQUIRED SKILLS
   Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and partnerships with educators, volunteers, community organizations, businesses, and other stakeholders. 
   Excellent networking, communication, and public speaking skills with the ability to represent CyberUp professionally in a variety of community settings.
   Comfortable building new programs, identifying unmet community needs, and turning ideas into action within a growing organization.
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience. 
   Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple events, classrooms, and volunteers simultaneously. 
   Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and manage projects from planning through execution. 
   Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment. 
   Experience coordinating programs, events, volunteer initiatives, or community outreach efforts. 
   Commitment to providing an exceptional experience for schools, volunteers, community partners, and participants.
   Comfortable facilitating classroom activities, meetings, and training sessions both virtually and in person. 
   Ability to collect, organize, and report program data and outcomes. 
   Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and virtual collaboration tools. 
   Willingness to travel locally throughout the St. Louis region.

PREFERRED SKILLS
   Experience in education, nonprofit organizations, workforce development, youth programs, or community engagement. 
   Experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing volunteers. 
   Experience working with schools, educators, libraries, youth-serving organizations, or community-based organizations.
   Familiarity with HubSpot or another CRM. 
   Experience using project management software such as Trello. 
   Experience supporting grant reporting or outcome measurement. 
   Knowledge of cybersecurity, STEM education, or digital literacy programs. 
   Experience representing an organization at community events or conferences.

COMPENSATION
The range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000/year. CyberUp pays 75% of health, dental, and vision for Employee and their Spouse and matches 50% of the first 5% of Employee contribution; not to exceed 2.5% of compensation, whichever is less in a 401k. Employees accrue up to 15 days per year in PTO in their first year of employment plus 14 holidays. This is a salaried, exempt position with an expected average of 40 hours per week. Flexible scheduling and hybrid work environments are available.
