The Learning Consultant supports the execution of Retail Education & Selling Enablement strategies for the Blue Nile brand by designing, delivering, and continuously improving learning solutions that build employee capability, strengthen customer experiences, and support business performance. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Retail Education & Selling Enablement, this role partners with brand leaders, Human Resources, and stakeholders to understand learning and development needs, support capability-building initiatives, and deliver learning programs aligned to business priorities. The Learning Consultant serves as a key learning resource for the Blue Nile business, helping adapt enterprise learning solutions to brand needs while providing feedback and insights that support ongoing improvement. This role supports Blue Nile showrooms, customer service, and corporate support teams while operating within the broader Retail Education & Selling Enablement strategy and portfolio direction. As a dedicated learning partner for Blue Nile, the Learning Consultant helps identify development needs, shares learner and business insights, supports the adaptation of learning solutions to meet brand-specific needs, and leads the delivery and continuous improvement of learning experiences that support brand priorities. The ideal candidate is a learning professional who combines facilitation, instructional design, project management, and stakeholder partnership skills to develop and deliver engaging learning experiences in a fast-paced environment. This role works closely with the Senior Manager to execute learning strategies, address business needs, and support capability development across the Blue Nile organization.

This position is HYBRID to our offices in New York City.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLearning Strategy & Business Partnership
  • Partner with Blue Nile leaders, Human Resources, and stakeholders to understand business priorities, learning needs, and development opportunities.
  • Support the identification of capability gaps and performance challenges by gathering learner feedback, business insights, and stakeholder input.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to determine learning priorities and align solutions with broader Retail Education & Selling Enablement strategies and business objectives.
  • Share observations, learner insights, and business feedback to support continuous improvement of learning programs and future planning discussions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and stakeholders across Blue Nile to support learning initiatives and employee development.
Learning Design, Facilitation & Program Delivery
  • Design, develop, implement, and facilitate learning solutions that support selling effectiveness, customer experience, leadership development, onboarding, and role-specific capability building.
  • Adapt enterprise learning programs, resources, and tools to meet Blue Nile business needs and learner requirements.
  • Create engaging learning materials, performance support resources, and development tools that reinforce key skills, knowledge, and desired behaviors.
  • Deliver instructor-led, virtual, blended, and self-directed learning experiences that support employee growth and performance.
  • Manage learning projects and program deliverables, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and align with business priorities.
Program Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor and evaluate learning programs through learner feedback, participation data, and available business metrics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve learning experiences, materials, and delivery approaches based on stakeholder feedback and learning results.
  • Partner with leaders and the Senior Manager to support the application of learning and reinforcement of desired skills and behaviors in the workplace.
  • Maintain learning content, resources, and programs to ensure they remain relevant, accurate, and aligned with Retail Education & Selling Enablement priorities.
  • Support measurement and reporting activities that help assess learning effectiveness and inform future enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of Learning & Development, Talent Development, Training, Education, or related experience, including learning design, facilitation, coordination, or program delivery responsibilities.
  • Experience developing and delivering learning experiences, training programs, or employee development initiatives.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder partnership, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with business partners across multiple functions.
  • Experience supporting retail, customer service, sales, hospitality, luxury, multi-site, or customer-facing environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with learning technologies, learning management systems, Microsoft 365, virtual learning platforms, and digital content creation tools such as Articulate 360 and Synthesia.

Base pay range from $70,000 to $80,000. Final pay rate shall be determined and is based on experience and qualifications.
