Instructional Systems Designer (IS EVD)
Summary
C² Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer (IS EVD) who will design and develop instructor-led (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), self-paced eLearning, and performance support tools. The role applies structured ADDIE methodology and close customer collaboration to convert requirements into high-quality instructional products that support federal security training programs.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and evaluate ILT, VILT, asynchronous eLearning, and performance support solutions.
• Conduct front-end analysis, draft design documentation, create prototypes, support pilot delivery, and evaluate course effectiveness.
• Author and update instructional materials including teaching manuals, student guides, job aids, skills assessments, quizzes, and tests.
• Perform editorial and quality control reviews of courseware and related publications.
• Collaborate directly with customers to translate training needs and expectations into distance-delivered or blended learning solutions.
• Lead instructional development projects; coordinate with SMEs, multimedia developers, and platform administrators.
• Ensure all instructional products meet accessibility and Section 508 compliance standards.
Education
• Master's degree in Instructional Systems Design, Adult Education, or a related field AND a minimum of three (3) years of training development experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution AND a minimum of eight (8) years of experience designing and developing ILT, VILT, eLearning, and performance support tools.
Experience - Required
• Minimum three (3) years applying ADDIE to design and develop training solutions.
• Minimum three (3) years collaborating with customers to convert requirements into online or distance-learning courses.
• Minimum three (3) years writing, editing, and reviewing instructional content and associated publications.
• Minimum three (3) years leading instructional development projects.
• Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Experience - Preferred
• Five (5+) years applying ADDIE within eLearning, ILT, or hybrid instructional environments.
• Five (5+) years collaborating with customers to design distance-delivered courses.
• Five (5+) years authoring, editing, and quality-checking instructional materials and publications.
Tools & Software
• Instructional authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Captivate, Adapt).
• LMS delivery workflows and content migration pipelines for ILT/VILT/eLearning.
• Document and content management systems for version control.
• Accessibility and Section 508 validation utilities.
Knowledge & Skills
• Advanced ISD skills across multiple modalities (ILT, VILT, eLearning).
• Strong customer-consulting, stakeholder communication, and requirement-translation skills.
• Editorial quality control, attention to detail, and structured documentation habits.
• Project leadership and ability to coordinate cross-disciplinary development teams.
