Job description

Summary

A well-established mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support and help grow its commercial service operations throughout Northern Nevada. This position combines hands-on HVAC service work with the opportunity to take on additional responsibility as the company's regional service presence continues to expand.

The ideal candidate has strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience, can independently troubleshoot complex equipment, and is comfortable working directly with customers while supporting the development of a growing service operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Diagnose complex equipment and system issues and provide effective solutions
  • Perform service work in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
  • Support the continued growth of commercial service operations throughout Northern Nevada
  • Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring HVAC technicians as the local team expands
  • Coordinate materials, tools, equipment, and jobsite readiness
  • Participate in customer walkthroughs and scope reviews
  • Provide technical input for proposals and estimates
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial customers
  • Monitor service work for schedule, budget, quality, and profitability
  • Maintain strong jobsite safety standards
  • Assist with after-hours service calls when required
  • Travel throughout Northern Nevada to support customer locations and projects
Requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive HVAC service experience
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Ability to estimate labor and material requirements
  • Experience helping lead, train, or mentor field technicians preferred
  • Experience supporting the launch or expansion of a service operation is a strong plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
  • OSHA 30, EPA Universal, or NATE certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel throughout Northern Nevada
