About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified IMC RN in Anchorage, Alaska, 99508!

Job Title

Registered Nurse – IMC / PCU / Stepdown

Location

Anchorage, AK

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct bedside nursing care on a stepdown unit serving a diverse patient population transitioning from ICU-level care, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and complex medical-surgical patients
  • Manage cardiac patients including those with CHF, MI, ACS, cardiac arrhythmias, pacemakers, and post-procedural cardiac conditions
  • Care for respiratory patients including those requiring high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, tracheostomy management, and chronic home ventilator support
  • Collaborate within a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing model alongside a Virtual RN and CNA, maintaining a bedside RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4
  • Float to lower acuity units, renal care, neurology, and medical-surgical units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
  • Document and manage patient care using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
  • Active Alaska RN license in hand at time of offer (pending licensure accepted for submission; must complete AK RN license application within 48 hours of signing)
  • Minimum of 1 year of PCU, stepdown, or IMC nursing experience
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Permanent address must be located at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted)
  • Willingness to work weekend shifts as determined by staffing needs, which may exceed every-other-weekend frequency
  • Commitment to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring and management of post-procedural cardiac patients (TAVR, MVR, Angiovac)
  • Familiarity with Epic charting system
  • Experience working in a co-care or virtual nursing model environment
