Job Description

As the Field Property Adjuster you are responsible for investigating and confirming the facts of loss for the most complex Homeowner's Claims. Determines coverage, damages and otherwise adjusts and negotiates claims within limit of authority. Responsible for creating a comprehensive estimate of damages for the most complex first party homeowner claims leading to the proper disposition. This role is utilized as peer mentor and may assign direction to more junior employees, having mastered our processes and obtained technical expertise.

We are looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Property Field Adjuster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be based in the Indianapolis, Indiana area. In this role, you will manage moderate residential and some condo claims, conducting both in-person field inspections and virtual assessments from home. Success in this position requires strong conflict management skills, proficiency in Xactimate, and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

Exhibits mastery estimating fundamentals in order to create estimates of damages on the most complex 1st party homeowner losses of all severities

Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers

Interprets regulatory compliance and fair claims practices

Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files

Applies mastered content in interpretations of all policy types written by the company and assists leadership in formal and ad hoc training

Recommends process improvements

Base compensation offered for this role is:
Field Property Adjuster Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00/salary
Field Property Adjuster Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00/salary
Field Property Adjuster Sr Cons I: $65,600.00 - 98,200.00/salary
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Total compensation for this role may include additional components, such as incentive pay (for example, commission or bonus), if applicable.
As a requirement of employment, individuals who currently hold an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments prior to onboarding and must not hold any outside appointments at any point during employment. Applicants seeking an adjuster role who also hold a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when instructed to by the licensing team.
