Job description

Plant Supervisor – Dry Plant & Loadout Operations

Wallstreet Sand Co. – Kermit, TX

Wallstreet Sand Co. is seeking a dependable, hands-on Plant Supervisor to oversee both Dry Plant and Loadout operations at our frac sand facility in Kermit, Texas.

This position is responsible for leading crews, supporting safe and efficient production operations, coordinating daily plant activities, and maintaining accountability across multiple departments in a fast-paced industrial environment.

We are looking for a strong leader who leads by example, communicates effectively with crews, and is comfortable working in demanding outdoor conditions alongside operations personnel when needed.

Candidates with backgrounds in frac sand, mining, aggregate, agriculture, ranching, oilfield, construction, or other physically demanding industrial environments are strongly encouraged to apply.

This is not a desk management position. Successful candidates will be expected to actively support operations, maintain visibility in the field, and help drive production, safety, accountability, and team performance.

Schedule

  • 14 days on / 7 days off rotation
  • 12-hour shifts
  • Rotating days and nights each shift

Pay

  • Per diem available

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Dry Plant and Loadout personnel during daily operations
  • Promote and enforce all company safety policies and MSHA standards
  • Coordinate production priorities between plant operations and loadout activities
  • Monitor equipment usage, material flow, housekeeping, and operational efficiency
  • Assist with staffing, shift coordination, and crew accountability
  • Lead by example in professionalism, attendance, safety, and work ethic
  • Coach and develop operators and utility personnel to improve performance and reliability
  • Conduct field inspections and identify operational or safety concerns
  • Communicate effectively with plant management, maintenance, and operations teams
  • Assist with troubleshooting operational issues and minimizing downtime
  • Ensure crews maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the facility
  • Support operational needs in the field, including filling in where needed during manpower shortages or high-demand periods

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has prior leadership or supervisory experience in industrial, agricultural, mining, construction, oilfield, or similar outdoor work environments
  • Is comfortable holding crews accountable while maintaining respect and professionalism
  • Understands the demands of physically intensive outdoor operations
  • Can adapt quickly in fast-paced operational environments
  • Is willing to step in and help wherever needed to support the team and production goals
  • Has experience working long hours in harsh weather and industrial conditions
  • Understands the importance of attendance, reliability, communication, and teamwork

Candidates with farming, ranching, feedyard, or other agriculture-related backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply due to the transferable work ethic, operational mindset, and outdoor experience often developed in those industries.

Requirements

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience required
  • Heavy industrial, mining, frac sand, construction, agriculture, ranching, or oilfield experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in heat, dust, wind, and changing weather conditions
  • Ability to work rotating schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to enforce site procedures
  • Ability to lead teams in physically demanding environments
  • Basic computer and reporting skills preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous frac sand plant or aggregate operations experience
  • Experience supervising operators, labor crews, or industrial personnel
  • Experience operating loaders or other heavy equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
  • MSHA training or willingness to obtain certification
  • Experience coordinating multiple operational departments simultaneously
