VP Fintech Product Management

FINWISE BANK

Murray, UT • On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 6 days ago

Job description

Purpose:

FinWise Bank is a leading Bank-as-a-Service provider and bank sponsor, partnering with Fintech companies to deliver innovative financial products at scale. Our product portfolio spans Marketplace Lending (MPL) sponsorship, API-enabled payments infrastructure (MoneyRails), card issuance, and emerging verticals including SMB banking, stablecoin, and neobank solutions.

The VP of Fintech Product Management will serve as the right hand to the SVP of Product & Strategic Initiatives. This is a high-ownership, generalist role for someone who thrives on building - both products and the processes behind them. You will work across the full product portfolio (MoneyRails, MPL platforms, emerging verticals), manage a Product Analyst team member, and be the operational anchor of the product team while the senior leadership focuses on strategy and external initiatives.
This role is not for someone who needs direction at every step. You'll be expected to pick things up, run with them, and build the systems that make the team run efficiently.

Tasks:

  • Serve as operational lead across FinWise Bank's Fintech product portfolio - MoneyRails (payments hub), MPL platforms (Nexus, FinTech Connect), and emerging verticals (stablecoins, SMB banking, neobank solutions.)
  • Build and own internal product processes: roadmap management, intake and prioritization, cross-functional coordination, and partner-facing product documentation.
  • Manage and develop a Product Analyst team member.
  • Act as a key liaison across technology, compliance, legal, finance and operations to drive product initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Support partner and prospect engagements alongside the commercial and account management teams.
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities across the product function and take ownership of solving them.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in a product role within financial services or Fintech - you understand money movement, lending, and payments at a meaningful level of depth.
  • Hands-on familiarity with BaaS, bank sponsorship, network and regulatory environments, and governing bank-Fintech partnerships (compliance, ALCO, etc.)
  • A self-starter who operates with minimal oversight and high accountability.
  • Comfortable doing strategic work one day and operational work the next.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can work fluidly with technology, legal, compliance, and sales.
  • Comfortable presenting to internal executives and collaborating with clients and prospects.
  • Ability to build structure in ambiguity - you won't inherit a perfectly defined playbook.

Required Education / Experience / License:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Preferred Education /Experience / License:

  • BA/BS or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years' experience within the banking or financial services industry.

Minimum Essential Requirements:

  • Sit or stand at a computer for long periods of time and look at a computer screen for several hours a day.
  • Work at an assigned FinWise office location.
  • Communicate with others in person, on the phone, virtual meetings and email.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Lift 20 lbs.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work overtime as assigned.
  • Travel overnight as required.
  • Work cooperatively with others.
  • Driving during the workday.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Background checks are required on all bank employees due to the accessibility of Personally Identifiable Private Information.
