Job Description:

SUMMARY: This position reports to the Global Controller and provides critical cost analysis and reporting to operational leaders. The position requires a teamwork mentality, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present information in a user-friendly manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and present product class margin analysis reports to division, site, and functional leadership, via analyzing revenue, cost of sales, other margin analysis and productivity costs, reporting factors affecting profitability of products or services.

  • Serve as finance liaison to site management team to ensure proper processes and controls are followed and lead to accurate financial records.

  • Serve as finance liaison to site inventory team to ensure accurate perpetual inventory records including compliance with inventory control policies, cycle counting requirements, etc.

  • Maintain procedures and policy adherence to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Compile cost and manufacturing/kitting expense information for budget preparation and rate-setting.

  • Partner with FPA teams on an as-needed basis, most notably related to product line costing/margins, inventory planning, etc.

  • Calculate and analyze various accruals and estimates, gathering information from other stakeholders.

  • Support monthly close, via assigned account reconciliations and related analysis.

  • Prepare and support routine and ad hoc reporting matters.

  • Support annual audit requests related to areas of ownership.

  • Assist in the integration of acquired businesses.

  • Interface with other departments and assist in process flows.

  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in business, preferably in accounting, from a recognized academic institution

  • 3-5 years working with accounting principles, specifically cost accounting, preferably in a project costing environment

  • Two years of demonstrable financial analysis and reporting experience preferred

  • Experience leading and developing team members is desired

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)

  • Experience with an integrated ERP preferred

  • CPA or public accounting experience a plus

  • Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities

  • Ability to work individually as well as with team members, virtual and in-person

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is an office position associated with a manufacturing facility. The employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by the employer when in the manufacturing area.
