Production Support Electrical Engineer - P2 - 1st shift
Location: Tucson, Arizona (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Role Overview
We are seeking a Production Support Electrical Engineer for our first shift team. This role is responsible for supporting production by resolving technical issues to ensure hardware builds proceed without delay. The position requires the ability to quickly assess problems, identify necessary information and resources, and develop a path for troubleshooting and resolution, which must then be communicated effectively to a cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve production and supplier issues, including troubleshooting and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Maintain and update technical drawings and documentation, including preparing change packages for review boards.
  • Diagnose hardware failures using a range of electronic test equipment and analysis tools.
  • Evaluate defect and yield data to drive process improvements and reduce recurring failures.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, create Statements of Work, and support general electrical engineering activities.
  • Prepare and present change documentation.
  • Own and manage issue resolution projects to completion.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or an equivalent degree is required.
Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with digital, analog, RF, and/or mixed-signal testing or debugging of complex circuit card assemblies and/or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BoMs).
  • A U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • An Interim Secret security clearance is required by the start date.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting production engineering activities involving electrical or mechanical hardware.
  • Background in designing electronic or electro-optical subsystems, including circuit design, assembly processes, and fabrication practices.
  • Familiarity with engineering and analysis tools across electrical design, simulation, and measurement domains.
  • Experience with subsystem integration, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently or within small teams while providing technical guidance and project oversight.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position ranges from $50.00 to $60.00 per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
