Position: Lead Technical Trainer

Location: Research Triangle Park, Durham, NC

Duration: 12 + Months

Short Description: NC FAST seeks a lead training resource to oversee the efforts of the training development team to ensure the creation of effective user training modules and activities.

Complete Description: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the coordination of NC FAST training activities, which includes the development of training curriculum, plan, and approach for virtual and in-person training delivery to NC FAST users. This person will work with a team of NC FAST trainers tasked to design and deliver virtual interactive webinars and in-person training to county Child Services staff. In addition to resource coordination and project management responsibilities, this position may require development and delivery of training content to ensure deadlines are met.

This person will work closely with Implementation team leaders to understand the existing e-learning curriculum when planning the virtual and in-person training approach. S/he will also collaborate with NC FAST and Child Services subject matter experts to ensure training strategies align with program and policy requirements.

Other duties include the creation of training delivery schedules, roll-out planning, status reporting, and workload tracking.

Qualifications

Experience in curriculum design and developing training materials for adult learners
Understands the social services programs that drive the efforts of the county, regional, and state staff who administer those programs.
Research and evaluate the NC FAST case management software in order to translate the software functionality into effective learning materials.
Experience leading training developers, program subject matter experts, technical support and others to assure training materials are effective.
Experience in business analysis, MS Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
Experience in Learning Management System (LMS) technology such as Moodle, XML, HTML
Experience in computer-based training instructional design, with learning program design systems.
Experience developing dynamic instructional training materials using interactions and simulations to create interactive, engaging course content.
Experience with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Connect, Visio or other training applications.
Experience developing interactive media presentations that enhance the online educational experience
Ability to assist with basic application software and hardware support
Must have strong understanding of internet concepts and web technology
Ability to clearly communicate in oral and written form, and deal effectively with diverse groups to accomplish the objectives.
Experience with adult learning practices, principles and procedures in classroom and on-line presentations
Experience with JIRA software
Experience with Agile methodology
Experience with Project Management
