As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Central Valley Counseling Center, you will operate in a fully remote setting that embraces a flexible work culture. • Conduct detailed initial assessments through telehealth sessions to identify clients' mental health issues and needs.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are adaptable to each client's evolving circumstances.
• Facilitate individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
• Maintain and update accurate client records in our Management Information System (MIS) to ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to provide holistic and coordinated care for clients.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in mental health counseling through ongoing education and training.
• Participate in regular staff meetings and professional development workshops to enhance skills and foster teamwork.

You will primarily serve a diverse client base, including adults, adolescents, and families experiencing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our focus is on providing culturally competent and sensitive care that honors and respects the backgrounds and experiences of all clients. The role emphasizes building trust and rapport, enabling clients to feel safe and understood in discussing their mental health concerns.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Connecticut.
• Proven experience providing counseling services, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals to achieve positive client outcomes.
• A strong commitment to continued professional development and ethical practice in mental health counseling.

• Experience in teletherapy and familiarity with virtual counseling platforms is advantageous.
• Previous work with specific populations, such as children, trauma survivors, or individuals with co-occurring disorders, is highly valued.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Solution-Focused Therapy.
