Job description

About Comfrt Comfrt LLC is the #1 Hoodie Brand in the U.S. and the #1 Apparel Brand on TikTok globally—built on a mission to support mental health and create everything comfortable for an easy, stress‐free, cozy lifestyle. Our elevated basics are worn by millions and loved for their perfect mix of comfort, style, and cultural relevance.

About the Role We are looking for a CLO3D Designer to contribute and help grow Comfrt's 3D digital design capabilities across all four product pillars. In this role, you will help build and maintain our digital fabric libraries, avatar and fit assets, and trim libraries in CLO3D and CLO‐SET, and execute virtual prototypes that support the technical design team throughout the development process. Working closely with Technical Design and the broader product team, you will use 3D simulation to reduce physical sample rounds, support fit evaluation, and help accelerate our path from concept to approval.

This is a great opportunity for a CLO3D‐proficient designer with a strong apparel foundation who is eager to deepen their expertise and grow with a brand that is serious about investing in digital development. Key Responsibilities: Digital Library Maintenance & Growth Contribute to building and maintaining Comfrt's CLO3D digital fabric library across all four pillars — Lounge, Fleece, Active, and Outerwear — ensuring accurate simulation of knit, woven, fleece, and performance fabric behaviors. Help develop and maintain the trim and hardware digital library in CLO3D, including zippers, drawcords, elastic, labels, snaps, and other category‐relevant components.

Manage and update avatar and fit block assets for Men's, Women's, and Kids size ranges, ensuring they are calibrated to Comfrt's fit standards across each pillar. Support fabric scanning and digitization efforts, working with vendors and the sourcing team to bring new material submissions into the digital library. Maintain organized, clearly named digital asset files within CLO-SET, following established naming conventions and folder structures for team‐wide accessibility.

Regularly audit existing digital assets and flag outdated or inaccurate entries for review and update. Virtual Sampling & Fit Support Execute CLO3D virtual prototypes across all four pillars based on technical design direction, ensuring garments accurately reflect construction intent, fabric drape, and fit standards. Produce virtual first fits (1F) for applicable styles, providing Technical Designers with clear simulations for fit and construction review prior to physical sampling.

Evaluate virtual garments for fit, balance, and construction accuracy, and communicate findings through detailed fit notes and 3D exports to the technical design team. Collaborate with Technical Designers to assess which styles are suitable for virtual versus physical first fit, supporting efficient sampling decisions. Create CLO3D render outputs — including turntable views, flat lays, and construction detail captures — for use in design reviews, presentations, and vendor direction.

Export DXF pattern files from CLO3D as needed, ensuring digital patterns are aligned with physical production requirements for vendor use. Cross‐Pillar Collaboration Partner with Technical Designers across Lounge, Fleece, Active, and Outerwear to integrate virtual sampling into the development workflow and reduce unnecessary physical sample rounds. Work with Design to support creative vision through digital prototyping – helping evaluate proportion, silhouette, color blocking, and surface detail before committing to physical samples.

Collaborate with Sourcing and vendors to digitize incoming fabric and trim submissions, keeping the digital library current alongside the active product line. Contribute to evolving digital workflows that reduce sample waste, improve accuracy, and accelerate speed‐to‐market across all four pillars. Platform & Process Support Help maintain CLO-SET platform organization, asset integrity, and access for the broader team under the direction of team leadership.

Support the documentation of 3D design processes and library standards to help build consistency as the team scales. Assist in onboarding team members to CLO3D tools and digital asset workflows as needed. Stay current on CLO3D software updates, new features, and industry best practices, sharing relevant insights with the team.

Qualifications: Required 3–5 years of hands‐on CLO3D experience in an apparel design or technical design environment, with a portfolio demonstrating virtual garment simulations across multiple categories. Solid proficiency in CLO3D and CLO‐SET, including fabric simulation, avatar calibration, trim building, pattern manipulation, colorway application, and render output. Strong foundational knowledge of apparel construction, garment fit, and patternmaking, with the ability to identify and communicate fit issues in virtual contexts.

Experience maintaining or contributing to digital fabric, trim, or avatar libraries in CLO3D. Familiarity with multiple fabrications including knit, woven, fleece, and technical or performance materials. Clear visual communication skills – able to produce organized, professional CLO3D renders for internal reviews and vendor direction.

Comfortable working cross‐functionally with Design, Technical Design, and Sourcing in a remote environment. Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office Suite. Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

You are: Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and solutions‐focused with a positive, can‐do attitude. Strong ability to multi‐task and manage multiple projects simultaneously across various stages of development. Thrives in a high SKU count, fast‐paced environment with constantly evolving priorities and timelines.

Highly organized with the ability to work autonomously, manage own schedule effectively in a remote environment, and consistently meet deadlines. Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability from concept through execution. Comfortable in a fast‐paced, high‐growth environment, able to pivot quickly and work long hours when launches demand it.

Nice to Have Familiarity with Gerber or equivalent patternmaking software; experience working with DXF pattern files. Exposure to PLM systems and integrating 3D assets into tech pack or product development workflows. Background in activewear, outerwear, or performance categories with technical fabric simulation experience.

Experience at a DTC or digitally native apparel brand. Why Join Comfrt? Be part of a purpose‐driven company that's shaping the future of comfort and mental wellness.
