OVERVIEW:

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Full Time Sorter Operator to join our distribution center team in Smithton

This role will support the DC on the 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday 3:00p - 11:00p


Sorter Operators are responsible for monitoring the sorter system per location, calling attention to conveyor problems, clearing jams, and communicating as needed with department Supervisors.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper product flow through system

  • Observe sorter monitor & cameras to ensure a constant flow of goods is maintained

  • Fix any jams on lines to reduce down time

  • Notify management of potential problems with product type

  • Alert maintenance of conveyor problems or possible future problems

  • Operate manual & mechanical equipment in a safe manner

  • Complete documentation neatly & accurately

  • Communicate between departmental leads & supervisors

  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • <1 year of experience

  • Knowledge of Building Flow

  • Basic computer skills
