Caring Transitions (Northern IL) is looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team. The Business Development Representative is responsible for 1) developing the company awareness and reputation in the geography we serve and 2) prospecting and establishing new referrals and qualified leads grow revenue.
He/she will be self-motivated and possesses strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport with business organizations, partners and clients. The overall goal of this position is to drive sales, develop markets and create new opportunities for growth.
This is a GREAT 2nd career! It also works well for those transitioning back into the workforce after some time away. Our team is diverse from former executives, educators, operations and retail experienced employees. All of us are motivated to help make seniors life a little easier.

Responsibilities:
Contact and qualify leads - Prospect new sales leads by making an initial phone, email or in person contact. Connect with as many leads as possible to encourage the customizable services being offered. Be the point person for your team's sales lead qualification process.
Convert leads to projects - Review offerings of company and co-develop proposals with team to meet the client's needs.
Community Outreach - Actively build partnerships and awareness of services in the marketplace.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales or marketing or providing professional at home services to consumers (i.e. real estate agent, etc.) with proven results
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Must have reliable transportation as locations vary weekly.

This role is part-time and has the potential to move to full-time
Salary: $18-22/hr
