In this role, you will lead development efforts across complex backend systems, partner with cross-functional teams, and help drive engineering best practices within a modern cloud environment.The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong Golang experience, expertise in AWS, and a passion for building highly available, distributed systems.Key Responsibilities* Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend applications and microservices.* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers across the team.* Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.* Design and implement cloud-native applications using AWS services and modern engineering practices.* Champion software quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Evaluate, adopt, and leverage emerging technologies and engineering best practices.* Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized application deployments.* Contribute to system architecture decisions focused on performance, reliability, security, and scalability.* Utilize AI-enabled development tools and automation capabilities to improve engineering productivity and delivery efficiency.Required Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.* 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.* 1+ year of hands-on cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.* Experience developing backend applications using Golang or other modern programming languages.* Experience building and supporting distributed systems and microservices architectures.* Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and cloud-native application development.Preferred Qualifications* Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.* 7+ years of software engineering experience with significant Golang development experience.* 2+ years of experience working with AWS or another major cloud platform.* Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.* Experience with both relational and NoSQL database technologies.* Experience utilizing open-source frameworks and modern development tools.* 2+ years working within Agile delivery environments.* Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve software delivery and engineering productivity.* Experience with languages and technologies such as Java, Python, SQL, Node.js, Scala, and cloud-native services.Desired Technical Environment* Golang* AWS Cloud Services* Docker & Kubernetes* Microservices Architecture* RESTful APIs* SQL & NoSQL Databases* CI/CD Pipelines* Agile/Scrum Methodologies* AI-Assisted Development Tools *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
