Job description

Automotive Service Advisor Krieger Ford is looking for a motivated, customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our service team. This is a great opportunity for someone with automotive service advisor, service writer, dealership customer service, or auto repair customer support experience who wants to grow with a family-owned dealership. Job Summary The Service Advisor is responsible for building strong customer relationships and serving as the main point of contact between customers and the service department. This role helps drive sales by recommending needed maintenance and repair services, coordinating technician workflow, and delivering an exceptional customer experience from vehicle check-in through pickup. The right candidate will be confident in communicating with customers, identifying service needs, upselling recommended services, handling live phone calls, and keeping customers informed throughout the repair process. Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers promptly and professionally in the service drive Consult with customers about vehicle maintenance and repair needs Perform thorough vehicle walk-around inspections during the write-up process Recommend, sell, and upsell maintenance and repair services by explaining value and need Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent follow-up and communication Keep customers informed throughout the repair process, including updates on vehicle status, pricing, and completion time Coordinate with technicians and the service team to ensure efficient workflow Ensure the daily inventory of technicians’ time is effectively sold Answer incoming service calls in a timely manner Return all voicemails within one hour Provide a high level of customer service for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person Follow all company policies and procedures Follow all state, OSHA, and EPA requirements, including signatures and estimates Follow all Ford guidelines for warranty repairs, parts coverage, and prior approvals Complete all assigned Ford training and maintain required Ford certifications Take ownership of the customer experience and help create a positive, lasting impression Schedule Monday through Friday with some Saturdays required. Exact daily hours will be discussed during the interview.
