Remote Legal Assistant – Electronic Filing Specialist
Full-Time | Remote | Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6 PM ET
Please note: This role requires hands-on experience submitting filings through a state court's electronic filing system. Candidates without direct e-filing experience will not be considered.
Equivity is looking for a detail-driven Legal Assistant to own our electronic filing operations. You'll work full-time hours (with a 30-minute lunch) and need to be available live and in real time during your shift. If you thrive in structured, high-volume workflows and take genuine pride in getting things right the first time, this role is built for you.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare and submit electronic filings following established procedures
  • Monitor filing status and confirm successful submissions
  • Coordinate corrections and resubmissions as needed
  • Track deadlines and ensure timely processing
  • Maintain organized filing records and confirmations
  • Communicate filing updates clearly to internal team members
What We're Looking For
  • 1+ year of legal assistant or legal administrative experience
  • 1+ year of hands-on state court e-filing experience (required)
  • Sharp attention to detail and a low tolerance for errors
  • Comfort following defined processes in a high-volume environment
  • Strong deadline management and organizational skills
  • Ability to pick up new filing systems and platforms quickly
  • Clear written and verbal communication
