As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

Be part of something remarkable. UW Health is pioneering a new model of primary care access and clinician support. In this 100% virtual position, you will work at the top of your license to provide both scheduled visits and dedicated, asynchronous In-Basket cross-coverage for PCPs who are out. The ideal candidate is proficient in navigating electronic health records, has strong independent clinical judgment with the ability to safely triage and manage unfamiliar patients in a virtual setting, and is adaptable and capable of pivoting between scheduled video visits and dedicated time for asynchronous chart review.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner OR Physician Assistant to:

  • Manage patient health needs as part of an interdisciplinary team through virtual primary care
  • Provide valuable clinical care by assessing, diagnosing, creating treatment and management plans appropriate for age, patient acuity and clinical condition via virtual health modalities.
  • Be an integral part of in basket work, workflows and coverage for team members who are out

Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program

If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program

Licenses and Certifications:

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND Active board certification as a NP in the following: Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND Active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
