Job description

                                                      Instructional Assistant 

 

REPORTS TO: Building Principal
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Non-Exempt
COMPENSATION: Based on Classified Pay Model
WORK CALENDAR: 183 Days
STANDARD HOURS: 7.25 Hours/Day
PERF: CPCSC is a Non-PERF District
FMLA STATUS:  Non-Exempt





   
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 
  • Serves part of the day as an instructional assistant for the K-5 Trauma and Behavior Program and the other part of the day as the Middle School SUCCESS Program virtual learning monitor.  
  • Contribute to a positive school family culture.

  • Build a trusting and safe environment for all students.

  • Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and their families.

  • Participate in family/school partnership events to increase engagement.

  • Provide effective student support, following the goals as written in the IEP, LEP, 504, and/or MTSS plan.

  • Perform all duties as indicated by the supervising teachers and the administration.

  • Supervise students at all times and maintain a safe and controlled environment.

   
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 
  • The preferred candidate will be a licensed elementary teacher; at least 48 college credits; an associate's degree or willing to take and achieve a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment prior to beginning work.

  • The preferred candidate will have experience working with elementary aged children.

  • The preferred candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively.?
