Description
SAIC is seeking a Data Fusion Center Technician to support the MARFORPAC Data Fusion Center (DFC) in real-world operations, crisis response, training, and exercise events. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical support for Command and Control (C2) systems and Common Operating Picture (COP) capabilities that enable operational awareness and informed decision-making. This position is critical to ensuring system availability, data integrity, and continuous mission support in dynamic operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and support Command and Control systems, including but not limited to: Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J), Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol (JREAP), Agile Client
  • Continuously monitor the status and performance of: COP servers, COP Sync Tools (CST) connections, Link Monitoring and Management Tool (LMMT) connections, VMware environment sustainability, Daily COP and JREAP operations
  • Perform continuous COP database management, including validation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Monitor real-time data streams and identify system, connectivity, or synchronization issues
  • Assist with incident analysis, operational reporting, and documentation of system performance or outages
  • Update and maintain Data Fusion Center documents using groupware applications and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Coordinate with military, joint, and other mission personnel to support operational data sharing and situational awareness
  • Provide watch floor support during routine operations, exercises, and crisis events
  • Document issues, resolutions, and turnover notes to support continuity across watch rotations

Qualifications
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
  • 8 years of relevant experience supporting a U.S. military branch (Navy, Army, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard) in Command and Control systems support
  • Experience supporting mission-critical systems in an operational or military environment
  • Ability to work shift schedules in an 8-hour watch rotation
  • Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS
  • Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in intelligence, operations, fusion center, or criminal justice-related environments
  • Familiarity with COP management, database support, tactical data systems, or surveillance-related technologies
  • Experience with specialized C2, analytical, or operational software platforms
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in high-tempo operational settings

Example Day-to-Day Activities
  • Monitor COP servers and data connections during a watch shift and resolve synchronization issues before they affect operations
  • Validate daily COP and JREAP management processes to ensure data accuracy and availability
  • Support exercise or crisis-response events by maintaining GCCS-J and Agile Client availability
  • Document system incidents, update operational logs, and brief follow-on personnel during watch turnover
  • Maintain DFC reference materials, SOPs, and reports using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools
