Our team is committed to excellence, and we are looking for a skilled Wide Format & Sign Installer / Production Specialist to join our growing company.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to handle the production, finishing, and installation of wide-format prints, graphics, and signage. This role requires a combination of technical skills, craftsmanship, and customer service to ensure high-quality execution of all projects.
Requirements
Position Summary
The Sign Installer is responsible for the safe installation, maintenance, repair, and retrofitting of interior and exterior signage. This position requires experience operating bucket trucks, performing electrical work on illuminated signs, LED retrofits, sign refacing, and ensuring all installations meet company quality standards, local codes, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Sign Installation
  • Install a variety of commercial signs, including:
    • Channel letters
    • Monument signs
    • Pylon signs
    • Cabinet signs
    • Wall signs
    • Interior signage
    • Vinyl graphics and decals
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
  • Ensure proper placement, alignment, and secure mounting of signs.
Bucket Truck Operations
  • Safely operate bucket trucks, cranes, and lifting equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures while working at heights.
  • Maintain required certifications and safe driving records.
Electrical Sign Work
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components in illuminated signs.
  • Install and connect transformers, power supplies, LED modules, and wiring.
  • Diagnose electrical failures and perform corrective repairs.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, local electrical codes, and permit requirements.
LED Retrofits & Sign Refacing
  • Perform LED conversion and retrofit projects on existing illuminated signs.

Service & Maintenance

  • Complete repairs efficiently while minimizing customer downtime.
Safety & Compliance
  • Follow OSHA regulations, fall protection requirements, and company safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
  • Use proper PPE and safe work practices at all times.
  • Report safety hazards, accidents, and equipment issues immediately.
Documentation & Communication
  • Complete installation reports, service documentation, and time records accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and team members.
  • Document site conditions and installation challenges as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sign installation experience preferred.
  • Experience operating bucket trucks and aerial lift equipment.
  • Knowledge of electrical sign systems and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with LED retrofits and illuminated sign repairs.
  • Ability to read blueprints, permits, and electrical diagrams.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work at heights and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and job site safety requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Crane operation experience.
  • Electrical certification or licensed electrician background.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
