Job description
We are seeking an Information Technology Specialist to provide hands-on IT support to seven Catholic schools in the Virginia Beach and eastern region. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable technology across all sites, with a focus on desktop support, network operations, and a Google Workspace-based environment.
This is a field-based position suited for someone who is practical, responsive, and comfortable working directly with school staff. This position will be based at St. Gregory the Great Catholic School in Virginia Beach. Regular travel between schools is required. A vehicle is provided for work-related travel.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote support for staff, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, wireless systems, and connectivity issues.
- Support Google Workspace and Chromebooks in a school environment.
- Support Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as needed.
- Troubleshoot classroom technology, including ViewSonic interactive displays and related systems.
- Support GoGuardian web filtering.
- Support PaperCut Hive and multifunction printers, including deployment and issue resolution.
- Maintain device inventory and coordinate equipment deployment and replacement.
- Work closely with the central IT team to ensure standards, security, and consistency across schools.
- Travel regularly between school locations within the Eastern region.
Requirements

- Experience in desktop support and basic network troubleshooting.
- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Chromebooks.
