Job description

The position of Assistant Project Manager for our National Technical Systems Group is responsible for providing a high level of coordination support in a variety of areas, partnering with construction project management and field staff.

  1. Assistwithmanagingall aspects of project documentation including submittals, RFIs and project meeting minutes.
  2. AssistwithsupervisionanddirectingprojectactivitiesasassignedbythePMincludingplanning and coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, ensuring all company/project policies, procedures and standards are maintained, etc.
  3. Assistwiththemaintenanceofallchangeorder,submittalanddocumentcontrollogswithinViewpoint.
  4. AssistPMandPXwithinteractionswithsubcontractorstomakecertainthatwe have obtained the correct documentation and drawing for the Owner and Maintenance Manuals.
  5. ResponsibleforcreatingtheJobInformationSheetsandestablishingjobfiles under the direction of the PM or PX.
  6. AssumetemporarytotalprojectsupervisionresponsibilitiesintheabsenceofthePM.
  7. Abletoreadandbasicunderstandingofelectricaldrawingsandspecifications.
  8. Assistwithestablishingworkflowbreakdownsinconjunction with Field Supervisors and Project Managers.
  9. Assistwithensuringprojectbillingsareaccurateandsubmittedtimely, monthly, and per contract documents.
  10. ResponsibleforassistinginwritingandsubmissionofqualityRFIs.
  11. ResponsibleforassistingPMtoensuretimelypaymenttosubcontractorsandvendors.
  12. Abletoreviewandupdatestatusofconstructionschedulesasperrequestof PM or PX.
  13. AbletoassistProjectManagementteamwiththesetupofprojectbudgetsin Viewpoint in conjunction with Field Supervisor.
  14. WorkwithPayrolldepartmenttoensureaccuratePayroll information has been submitted.
  15. Otherdutiesasassigned.
