Video Prompt Engineer information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Video Prompt Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Video Prompt Engineer, you need expertise in video production, scripting, and an understanding of AI prompt engineering, often supported by experience with media editing tools and a background in computer science or related fields. Familiarity with platforms like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and generative AI systems such as OpenAI, Runway, or Synthesia is typically required. Strong creativity, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help in crafting prompts that yield high-quality, contextually relevant video outputs. These abilities are crucial for bridging the gap between technical AI capabilities and compelling visual storytelling, ensuring that generated video content meets project objectives.

What is a Video Prompt Engineer?

A Video Prompt Engineer is a professional who designs and optimizes prompts to guide artificial intelligence (AI) systems in generating or editing video content. They work closely with AI models to fine-tune instructions, ensuring the resulting videos meet specific creative, technical, or business goals. Their responsibilities often include scripting effective prompts, testing AI outputs, and collaborating with developers and creatives to enhance video quality and relevance. As AI video tools become more advanced, the role of a Video Prompt Engineer is becoming increasingly important in industries like advertising, entertainment, and digital content creation.

What are some typical challenges Video Prompt Engineers face when collaborating with creative teams?

Video Prompt Engineers often work closely with creative teams to develop prompts that yield visually engaging and contextually accurate video outputs from generative AI models. One common challenge is translating creative concepts into precise, technical prompts that the AI can interpret effectively. Balancing the creative vision with the technical constraints of the model requires strong communication and iterative problem-solving. Additionally, staying updated on the latest advancements in generative video technology is essential to ensure the prompts leverage new capabilities while maintaining high-quality results.

What is the difference between Video Prompt Engineer vs AI Content Creator?

Job description

Job Title - AI Engineer
Must have 3+ years of real hands on experience of AI development
AI Engineer with strong Python programming expertise and hands-on experience in building scalable data pipelines, automating workflows, and integrating AI capabilities into data engineering processes. The role involves developing robust data processing scripts, creating reusable validation frameworks, and orchestrating workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, while leveraging core libraries like Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Requests, and PySpark. The candidate should be proficient in working with XML-based data formats, including parsing, transforming, and managing XML within Informatica and Python environments, with solid knowledge of XPath, XSLT, and schema validation. Additionally, the role requires practical exposure to AI/LLM integration, including prompt design, working with REST-based APIs, and using tools such as Claude Code and GPT Codex to accelerate development. The candidate is expected to apply strong engineering judgment to validate AI-generated outputs, follow best coding practices, contribute to shared libraries, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions. Strong ownership, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across teams, mentor junior members, and work effectively within Agile and CI/CD environments are essential.
Key Expectations:
  • Strong Python development with focus on modular, reusable, and well-documented code
  • Experience with data processing, automation, and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow)
  • Proficiency in Pandas, SQLAlchemy, Requests, and PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with XML processing, XPath, XSLT, and Informatica integration
  • Extensive Informatica PowerCenter expertise in designing and managing complex ETL workflows (mappings, sessions, workflows, worklets) with performance optimization (partition tuning, pushdown optimization, cache management)
  • Practical exposure to AI/LLM integration, prompt engineering, and API-based workflows
  • Ability to leverage AI tools (Claude Code, GPT Codex) for development acceleration
  • Strong ownership of end-to-end delivery (design through deployment)
  • Experience working in Agile teams with Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders
