Job description

The Opportunity
The Digital Programing & Coordinating Producer role is primarily focused on managing the scheduling of Memphis Grizzlies and Grind City Media video production and the distribution and trafficking of content both internally and externally. This position will also assist with day-to-day production needs of Grind City Media and Memphis Grizzlies video production.
In This Role You Will
  • Manage the Grizzlies video production & distribution schedules and calendars for all shoots and edits.
  • Work within the video content team to coordinate all feature productions, including pre and post-production needs, set-up and tear down etc. along with internal organizational reviews as applicable.
  • Assist with the distribution and trafficking of all programming for Grind City Media, Memphis Grizzlies, Memphis Hustle, and FedExForum content including live and feature video, podcasts, written and more.
  • Coordinate and assist on all GCM and video broadcast department administrative tasks as needed.
  • Help produce and distribute content real-time during Memphis Grizzlies games.
  • Act as video production liaison and maintain relationships with key internal partners (digital, social, email, live entertainment, community, partnerships and other departments) to drive elite presentation and distribution of branded entertainment and video content on our platforms.
  • Help shoot and edit short-form features for the Grizzlies, Hustle, Grizz Gaming and Grind City Media properties, including but not limited to media availabilities, press conference coverage and more that incorporate camera operation, producing, and post-production.
  • Help facilitate footage requests to and from NBA and other vendors / partners and outside sources, along with research and footage/element acquisition as assigned.
  • Assist with all large-scale production shoots, including ideation, planning, development and execution.
  • Assist in logging footage for archives and production feature along with other production duties as needed.
  • Follow, understand, advise, and stay abreast of team and league story lines, including complete and thorough knowledge of previous Grizzlies' games in assisting supervisor and department producers with feature and programming production.
  • Other related duties as required.

The Experience You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Broadcast, Business, or related degree, or equivalent professional relevant experience.
  • Post-secondary training in the area of video production.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • 1-3 years video production experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and remain highly organized while working on multiple projects with aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and online resources.
  • Must be able to work evenings, holidays, and weekends, as required.
  • High level knowledge of and passion for NBA basketball.
  • Knowledge of and passion for video production and content.
  • Willingness to work all phases of video production including electronic field production (EFP).
  • Valid U.S. Driver's license, and reliable means of transportation.
  • Ability to lift/carry 40-50lbs.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.

Nice to Have:
  • Video editing experience.
  • Ability to operate a professional video camera.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and basic video/audio editing. Premiere and After Effects preferred.
