We are hiring a Senior Attorney to support our first-party video game studios and serve as the primary deal lawyer for outbound licensing of iconic Wizards and Hasbro IP into digital games worldwide. This role will manage a team of two: one attorney and one paralegal. It will cover an important and growing portfolio. The goal is to deliver excellent legal service to client teams and build outstanding video game experiences for players worldwide. This role reports to the VP of Legal for Wizards of the Coast and will be based in Renton, Washington with required in-office work 3 days/week.

What You Will Do:
  • Structure and negotiate agreements across: outbound licensing for partner-developed digital games (mobile, PC, and console), co-development, work-for-hire, publishing, and external development.
  • Advise studio leadership across our internal development teams on product development, talent and personality agreements, monetization, user-generated content and creator programs, emerging regulation, community and moderation policy, age ratings, accessibility, and consumer protection.
  • Partner with brand teams, internal and external counsel, marketing, privacy, finance, and business development.
What You'll Bring:
  • J.D. or equivalent from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state or the equivalent in another jurisdiction.
  • 7+ years of relevant legal experience, including independent ownership of complex licensing projects and substantive experience in interactive entertainment, technology licensing, or media and IP transactions. In-house experience at a game developer, publisher, or platform preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the video game regulatory landscape.
  • Experience supervising attorneys, paralegals, or other legal professionals, including allocating work and reviewing output.
  • You know how to deliver great work while still finding the fun of working on a highly collaborative team in a creative industry!
  • Bias toward continuous process and service delivery improvement, with experience driving technology adoption, including applying AI tools to increase operational efficiencies.
  • Experience working across jurisdictions and time zones with colleagues and counterparties in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
