LiveNOW from FOX is looking for an Overnight Host/Producer to join FOX TV Stations' national live streaming news offering. As the Overnight Host/Producer you will be part of the team that keeps viewers informed and engaged at all hours of the day! You'll get the best of both worlds - hosting live, on-air coverage on some nights, and driving viewer engagement while supporting other hosts behind the scenes on others. This flexible role is ideal for a dynamic journalist who thrives both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. You'll balance real-time coverage of what's happening right now with forward-thinking content presentation and finding innovative ways to help viewers find the live events and latest updates they're looking for.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather, produce, and present live coverage of breaking news and major events across digital, streaming, social, and broadcast platforms.

  • Host live streams, guiding viewers through developing stories in a clear, engaging, and informative manner.

  • Research, plan, and build editorial coverage, including booking guests, coordinating interviews, and preparing for upcoming news events.

  • Manage live video production elements including switching, graphics, and stream execution.

  • Monitor live feeds, wires, social media, and newsgathering tools to identify breaking news and emerging stories.

  • Execute and evolve the editorial plan, maintaining calendars and ensuring coverage is forward-looking and well-coordinated.

  • Collaborate with FOX O&O stations and internal/external partners to source live video, interviews, and content.

  • Pitch story ideas and contribute to editorial decision-making while upholding journalistic standards.

  • Monitor real-time analytics to inform coverage decisions and optimize content performance.

  • Support teammates across roles, including stepping in on-air or behind the scenes as needed.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key contacts and sources to support coverage.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong knowledge of current events and a deep understanding of how audiences consume news across digital platforms.

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and confidently both on-air and behind the scenes in a fast-paced, unscripted breaking news environment.

  • Excellent editorial judgment, research skills, and attention to detail.

  • Experience with digital news production, live streaming workflows, and newsroom technologies (e.g., TriCaster or similar).

  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and think several steps ahead.

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and pivot quickly as news develops.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proficiency in newsgathering tools, social media, and digital analytics platforms.

  • On-camera hosting or reporting experience required.

This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
