video, Photographic Styles, and generative editing in the Photos app, as featured in multiple keynotes at WWDC.
We build the frameworks and core layers that power these experiences - the abstractions the rest of Photos, and teams beyond it, build on - while integrating new algorithms, from
classical image processing to on-device ML and generative models, to define what comes next. You'll have real ownership over how these features and algorithms come together into
a coherent, best-in-class experience.

Description
Apple's Camera & Photos Edit Foundation team is looking for an experienced software engineer with a proven track record of shipping high-quality software to join an expanding
team building the next generation of image and video editing features across Photos, and beyond.
You bring solid experience integrating complex algorithms and frameworks into production-quality software, sound problem-solving and architectural judgment, and strong
collaboration and communication skills, along with a passion for designing high-quality software.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with image and video processing applications, methodologies, and best practices
Experience with Metal or other GPU programming frameworks
Experience with on-device or applied ML techniques and paradigms
Interest in visual media, graphics, and/or photography
Creative mindset
Experience shipping client-facing apps
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Object-oriented analysis and design experience
C / C++ / Objective-C / Swift experience
Experience with performance analysis and optimization techniques
Experience with image or video processing technologies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving development environment
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $150,400 and $277,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
