Description Come join our team as a Communications and Marketing Intern. Under general supervision, the intern would assist the Communications and Marketing Division with: Social media coordination Content creation Photography and videography Basic photo and video editing Website updates Email newsletter content Community outreach City events Other communications projects The ideal candidate should have prior photography and/or videography experience, understand basic camera functions, and be familiar with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite-particularly Premiere Pro and Photoshop. The position may require occasional evening and weekend work for events and content gatherings.

Capture photos and videos at City events, programs, meetings, facilities, and other locations. Perform basic photo and video editing. Create and edit basic digital graphics in Canva.

Organize and maintain digital media files. Monitor social media and identify questions or comments requiring staff follow-up. Assist with website updates and email newsletter content.

Support community outreach and special events. Conduct research and assist with other communications projects. Technical knowledge Applicants should have knowledge of: Canva Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Photoshop Basic camera functions Photo composition and lighting Basic audio recording Photography and videography techniques Basic photo and video editing Social media platforms and digital content formats Typical Qualifications Education and experience Applicants must be a junior, senior, or graduate student, or possess a bachelor's or master's degree.

Preferred areas of study include: Communications Marketing Public relations Journalism Film Photography Videography Graphic design A related field Applicants should have prior photography and/or videography experience and be comfortable operating a camera.
