Job description

Overview
Foot Locker is seeking an enthusiastic Associate Manager, Video Content to support the creation of fast, culturally relevant, platform-native video content for our organic social media channels. This role reports to the Director of Social Media and Influencer and is ideal for a creative self-starter who is passionate about sneaker culture, sports, and youth trends, and is looking to build hands-on experience in social content creation.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to create platform-native content that feels intuitive, current, and culturally fluent, specifically short-form video content optimized for platforms like (but not limited to) Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
  • Operate within a highly collaborative, fast-moving team environment, actively contributing in brainstorms, shoots, reviews, and real-time social moments.
  • This role requires rapid ideation and execution in shooting, and editing engaging, trend-driven videos that align with Foot Locker's brand voice
  • Thrives in a dynamic reactive environment where timelines can shift quickly.
  • Stay up to date on current social media trends, sounds, and visual styles within sneaker, sport, and youth culture
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute creative ideas quickly and efficiently
  • Edit videos using basic editing tools, ensuring content is polished, timely, and platform-appropriate
  • Support rapid content turnaround while maintaining quality and creativity
  • Support department influencer strategy
  • Creative support (shoot set ups, product/prop sourcing, mailings, vendor onboarding, etc..)
  • Occasional nights, weekends, holiday work
  • Travel as necessary

Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience creating video content (academic projects, internships, or personal/social content welcomed)
  • A small portfolio, preferably including lo-fi, quick-turn, or experimental content, social handle, or sample work showcasing video content
  • Strong interest in sneaker culture, basketball, fashion, and youth culture
  • Familiarity with short-form video platforms and social media trends
  • Basic video shooting and editing skills using mobile devices, full-frame mirrorless camera (eg: Sony Alpha 7) editing software (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

Benefits
The annual base salary range is $66,300 - $75,000/ year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
