Job description

The Audio Visual team within IT Client Services owns all conferencing technology, digital signage, and AV infrastructure across Zoox. As the Senior IT Engineer, Audio Visual, you will own the technical AV platform end to end — including Zoom and all video conferencing hardware, digital signage, and site builds — while managing a team of contractors and coordinating with external vendors. You'll partner with our Internal Events Production team to support company-wide events, and act as a backup to IT Executive Services for meeting support, Zoom, and Google Calendar questions. This role requires a strong IT foundation, sound judgment under pressure, and exceptional communication skills.
In This Role, You Will...
● Own the company's AV technology platform, including Zoom, Zoom Rooms, video conferencing hardware, and digital signage, and drive the roadmap for each.
● Coordinate with external vendors on the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of AV systems and equipment.
● Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting for complex AV, conferencing, and meeting room issues, in person and remotely.
● Partner with the Internal Events Production team to provide AV and technical support for company-wide events, as needed.
● Act as a backup to IT Executive Services, supporting meeting logistics, Zoom, and Google Calendar questions for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
● 8+ years of experience in a similar audio visual or IT engineering role, including 1+ year leading a team.
● Strong IT foundation, including networking concepts and Windows/macOS troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
● Experience administering Zoom, Zoom Rooms, and related conferencing hardware (Neat / Logitech) and software platforms.
● Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the organization.
● Experience providing white-glove executive support.
 
Bonus Qualifications
● AVIXA CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I certification.
● Experience configuring Extron, Crestron, Q-SYS or similar room control systems.
● Project or program management experience.
 
Base Salary Range
 
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. The listed range applies only to the base salary. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
