Job description

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that provides secure, resizable compute capacity in the cloud. It is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easier and more cost effective for developers. On the EC2 Capacity Customer Experience (CCX) team within AWS, our mission is to ensure the right capacity is available for customers through forecasting, planning, guidance and execution, especially for large unpredictable scaling events.
The EC2 CCX team is searching for a passionate, driven, and talented technical program manager to own customer planning within the GenAI instance portfolio. This role serves as EC2's primary POC for managing demand intake, organizing supportability scenarios to influence VP+ business decisions, and ensuring infrastructure and EC2 teams execute against global commitments. This customer facing role includes driving key initiatives that support goals/KPIs that are measured and reported to executive leadership. As the business of cloud computing grows increasingly technologically complex, it also brings new opportunity to drive capital efficiency and ensure the right decisions are getting made to the delight of our customers. Additional responsibilities include driving system improvements and collaborating with engineering organizations to build new technologies that automate various aspects of GenAI EC2 Capacity planning.
From Day 1, Technical Program Managers are given ownership and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions, along with the ability to drive significant impact on the customer experience as well as the business. This role requires working with professionals in many different domains including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Finance along with high visibility to senior leaders at AWS.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
