We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Vice President of Operations to help our practices grow, strengthen performance, and create an exceptional experience for patients and team members. What You'll Do


As our Vice President of Operations, you will lead the strategy and operational performance of an assigned portfolio of dental practices. You will work closely with affiliated doctors and operational leaders to support practice growth, improve performance, and ensure teams have the resources and guidance they need to succeed.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop and lead operational strategies that support practice performance and sustainable growth 
  • Oversee the performance of assigned practices, ensuring alignment with organizational, financial, and patient-care goals 
  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with affiliated doctors, regional leaders, and practice teams 
  • Identify opportunities to increase patient access, improve scheduling, and strengthen treatment acceptance and retention 
  • Partner with Finance to manage P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning 
  • Use data and analytics to monitor key performance indicators, identify trends, and guide operational decisions 
  • Introduce consistent workflows, scheduling models, and best practices that help teams work more efficiently 
  • Partner with Marketing to support patient acquisition, engagement, and retention 
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources to attract, develop, engage, and retain outstanding doctors and team members 
  • Support the successful opening and development of new practice locations 
  • Ensure supported practices operate in accordance with regulatory requirements, payer guidelines, and organizational policies 
  • Identify operational risks and develop thoughtful, practical solutions

Travel Requirement: Up to 30% based on business needs.

  • Help create a consistent and welcoming experience for patients and team members 
  • Evaluate technology and operational tools that improve workflows, efficiency, and the patient experience 
  • Partner across Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Revenue Cycle Management, and other support teams 
  • Monitor industry trends and apply relevant best practices across supported locations 
  • Represent Specialty Dental Brands at leadership meetings, industry events, and professional networking opportunities 
  • Lead strategic projects that support the evolving needs of our doctors, practices, and organization 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • MBA, Master’s in Healthcare Administration, or a related advanced degree preferred 
  • At least 10 years of experience in healthcare, dental, or multi-site operations 
  • Previous leadership experience within a dental support organization or multi-site healthcare organization strongly preferred 
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-unit operations and improving performance 
  • Strong knowledge of practice operations, including patient flow, scheduling, staffing, and performance metrics 
  • A proven ability to build trusted partnerships with doctors in a non-clinical leadership capacity 
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing P&L performance, budgets, and forecasts 
  • A data-driven approach with strong analytical, strategic-thinking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Experience coaching and developing regional and practice-level leaders 
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder-management abilities 
  • The ability to lead through change while building trust, engagement, and accountability 
  • The ability to travel as needed across supported regions
