Description

Cobalt is hiring an SVP Global Sales to lead the strategic vision and execution of the company's global GTM engine, leading a team across SMB, Mid-Market, and Enterprise segments. This sales leader will be responsible for building and executing on the direct sales motion as well as expanding the channel efforts. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll be a part of the executive team driving one mission: own the continuous offensive security category.

You'll bring strategic hunting, operational rigor to forecasting, metrics and KPIs, and strong CISO relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a global sales strategy to drive high growth and dominate the Continuous Offensive Security Testing Market 
  • Translate new AI products  capabilities (autonomous pentesting, AI pen tester, risk-based testing triggers, compliance offerings) into customer value propositions and sales plays. 
  • Build upon the existing enterprise motion, while keeping momentum of the higher velocity sales motion. Leverage land-and-expand playbooks and help drive larger ACVs.
  • Work with sales ops to implement a scalable sales operating system, ensuring rigorous pipeline and forecasting discipline.
  • Hire, coach, and develop sales leaders and AEs; define roles, compensation inputs, metrics, territories, and performance management frameworks.
  • Work closely with Marketing to ensure leads are quality and reps are hunting (not waiting). Define SLAs, feedback loops, and continuous optimization. 
  • Activate your CISO rolodex. Cold outreach, warm introductions, and strategic hunting are table stakes in a competitive market. 
  • Partner with Product and Finance on pricing strategy, packaging, competitive positioning, and deal management. 
  • Partner with Head of Customer Success on account health, retention, and expansion for high-value enterprise accounts. 
  • Communicate sales strategy and wins broadly with the executive team and board. No silos. Be the trusted voice of sales in leadership. 
  • Partner with Product Management on the product strategy. Bring the voice of the customer to Cobalt. 
You Have
  • 10-15+ years enterprise software and/or tech-enabled services sales. Proven track record scaling from $75-300M+ in revenue. 
  • CRO or VP/SVP-level sales leadership. Built, led and scaled a sales organization with forecasting accuracy, quota attainment, and team development. 
  • Deep experience selling into cybersecurity buyers (CISOs, Security Operations, Risk/Compliance). Established CISO relationships are highly preferred. 
  • Security space expertise. Understand cybersecurity fundamentals, market dynamics, and buyer pain points. Conversant in offensive security and continuous testing. 
  • Offensive security background preferred (pen testing, security services, companies like Coal Fire, NCC Group, Bishop Fox, Rapid7).
  • Tech-enabled services experience preferred. Understand the services-to-product transition and how to position automation + human expertise. 
  • International sales experience (Europe especially). We're scaling globally and need someone who can manage complex international motion. 
  • Forecasting rigor and honesty. Predict quarters accurately. Communicate early and often with leadership and board.

Pay Range Disclosure 

Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is in the range of $500k-600k OTE  per year, plus equity and benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications.  The salary range may differ across states and be influenced by proximity to major metropolitan areas.
