Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO of Chloé/President of Fashion and Accessories, the Vice President, Retail is a pivotal executive leader within the Chloé organization. This role is entrusted with defining and championing the strategic vision for Chloé North America, fostering a culture of unparalleled excellence, and driving significant revenue growth and market leadership. The Vice President will hold comprehensive accountability for the retail P&L, strategically collaborating with Chloé HQ and regional leadership to establish a highly profitable, operationally sophisticated, and client-centric retail environment. This executive will be instrumental in setting and achieving sales and KPI targets, cultivating enduring client relationships, and innovating retail processes and guidelines to unlock the full potential of Chloé's Regional retail footprint. Key areas of strategic focus include driving operational innovation, elevating the client experience, optimizing productivity, and building a robust global talent pipeline through proactive recruitment, strategic development, and comprehensive succession planning. This role provides executive leadership to a corporate support team encompassing Retail Operations, Learning & Development, and Retail Excellence as well as Retail Network of 70+ EEs (including 15 full price and outlets).
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision & Business Growth: Define, champion, and drive the overarching strategic vision and annual business plans for the global retail division, ensuring maximum revenue generation, profitability, and market share expansion. Assume full P&L accountability, including strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and rigorous cost optimization initiatives across the retail department.
  • Executive Leadership & Organizational Development: Provide inspirational and transformative executive leadership to a the retail organization, fostering a high-performance culture and empowering regional and local leadership teams. Strategically guide the development and retention of top-tier retail talent, focusing on leadership capabilities and succession planning.
  • Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership: Strategically partner with executive management across functions (e.g., Merchandising, Marketing, Supply Chain, Digital) to elevate brand services, deepen client engagement, and ensure seamless omnichannel integration.
  • Retail Innovation & Operational Excellence: Design, implement, and continuously evolve a holistic retail strategy that supports aggressive network development, digital transformation, and a best-in-class client experience. Drive innovation in retail operations, leveraging technology and data to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Market Intelligence & Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and capitalize on emerging market trends, competitive landscapes, and future business opportunities to enhance Chloé's brand performance and market leadership. Drive strategic analysis of global retail performance metrics and empower regional leadership to implement data-driven actions to achieve and exceed goals.
  • Client Experience & Brand Advocacy: Champion a client-centric approach across all retail touchpoints, ensuring an exceptional and consistent luxury experience that reinforces Chloé's brand values and fosters client loyalty.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead and oversee critical strategic initiatives and special projects as directed by Global HQ or the President of the Americas, ensuring successful execution and alignment with corporate objectives.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree (MBA preferred) from a top-tier institution, or equivalent executive-level professional experience.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of progressive executive leadership experience within the luxury retail sector or a high-end global consumer goods company, with a significant portion in apparel, fashion, and footwear.
  • Experience in P&L management, strategic financial planning, and driving significant revenue growth and profitability in a multi-channel retail environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing innovative retail strategies, including omnichannel integration, digital transformation, and client experience enhancement.
  • Exceptional strategic acumen, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies and drive organizational change.
  • Leadership style with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Advanced communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively with C-suite executives, global partners, and diverse teams.
  • Deep understanding of luxury consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
