Position Summary

The Vice President, Specialty Services is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, profitability, and operational performance of CAM Industrial Solutions' Specialty Services business. This portfolio includes turnarounds, catalyst services, towers, tanks, rope access, specialty welding, small capital projects, and related specialty services supporting refinery, petrochemical, chemical, and other industrial facilities.

This role has overall responsibility for P&L performance, business growth, safe and successful project execution, customer relationships, and development of a high-performing operations team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for CAM's Specialty Services business.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities sufficient to support CAM's growth objectives.
  • Own the Specialty Services P&L, including revenue, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve profitable growth across existing and new customers, markets, and service lines.
  • Ensure projects are safely and successfully executed with a focus on productivity, schedule, quality, cost, and margin performance.
  • Provide executive oversight of major turnarounds, projects, and other high-risk or complex work.
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships and serve as an executive sponsor for key accounts.
  • Partner with Business Development to identify opportunities, develop proposals, establish pricing strategies, and secure new work.
  • Drive cross-selling of Specialty Services throughout CAM's existing customer base.
  • Build, lead, and develop a strong operational leadership team and establish clear performance accountability.
  • Partner with Legal, HSET, Human Resources, Recruiting, Finance, and other functions to ensure the organization has the resources and capabilities needed to support current operations and future growth.
  • Champion CAM's safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, labor productivity, project controls, and profitability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial construction, maintenance, turnaround, or specialty services.
  • Significant experience working within refinery, petrochemical, chemical, or other heavy industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated P&L leadership and experience managing a substantial business, region, or operating portfolio.
  • Understanding of industrial turnaround and project execution.
  • Strong industry network and a proven book of business or demonstrated ability to bring customer relationships and revenue opportunities that can accelerate the growth of CAM's Specialty Services business.
  • Proven track record of profitable growth, operational execution, and customer development.
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, estimating, scheduling, labor productivity, project controls, and contract management.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed operations and large craft workforces.
  • Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Ability to travel extensively based on business and customer needs.
  • Experience working within a private-equity-backed or similarly performance-driven organization.

This position is performed in a professional office environment and requires regular interaction with employees, customers, and cross-functional teams. The role involves the use of computers, telephones, and standard office equipment while managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines. Success in this environment requires strong communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced business setting. Frequent travel required.
